Ohhhhh, so gorgeous! But AGGH, I can’t believe I have to wait until August to read it!!!!!

  2. I really really like – but I’m partial to the US cover :)

  3. Carenza says:

August? I thought it was coming out in June? You chose a very good choice in colour, not too dark but dark enough to tell it is a dark place (not evil). It wonderful and beautiful.

  4. margaret says:

Oooooh, stunning! And I can’t believe I have to wait until 2012 sometime before it’s finally published here. WHAT IF THE WORLD ENDS FIRST????

Also: totally have two friends freshly addicted to the series. These books are so much fun to recommend, they always go over like gangbusters.

  5. Ying says:

Thank you so much, Steph! Jennifer, that makes you a true American – the cover designers really know what they’re doing for their own markets. 😀 And Carenza, it was previously scheduled for April but it’s been pushed back – sorry! Glad you approve of the purple, though. And Margaret, if the world ends first, I’ll find you in the underground bunker and hand-deliver the ms. Thank you for recommending the books so warmly! I’m so glad you’re a force for good and not evil.

  6. trillian says:

I thought it was coming out in April, August it’s too far away!!! I can’t wait to read the third book!

  7. Becky Earl says:

Ooooh that’s awesome! Love it, can’t wait to get my hands on that. Love the purple, but can’t believe they pushed the date back to August, but it will be out just in time for my birthday – it’s already on my wish list!

  8. jen7waters says:

Oh, Ying it’s so pretty! I want it! Now! 😀

  9. MelodyJ says:

I like the purple cover. It makes me want to explore that tunnel. What’s down there?

  10. Ying says:

Thank you, everyone! Melody, I can safely answer, “Quite a bit.”

  11. shel says:

Ooh, purple. Nice, but I’m also very partial to the Candlewick covers.

  12. Ying says:

    It’s a tough call, isn’t it? I’m so glad it’s not either/or.

  13. Cathy says:

I guess I’m glad I only have to wait until August for the next installment (and it’s March now). Just read the first two books in two weeks…totally addicted and can’t wait to read what happens next.

  14. Ying says:

Hi Cathy, I’m afraid the August pub date is for the UK edition only. If you’re in North America, it’s spring 2012. Eep. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But I’m so glad you enjoyed Spy and Body. Thanks for letting me know!

  15. Jo (yes, that's my entire first name) says:

I broke down hyperventilating when I saw this, you know that? I think I’m moving to UK. I can’t wait until 2012. That’s ridiculous ;D

I’m avidly recommending this book to ALL of my friends, and as I’m being a raving maniac about it, I think a fair few of them will read it (= I also managed to get my local library to purchase the first two books and am stabbing at the barnes and nobles to HAVE IT IN STOCK! It’s stupid! We go EVERY SINGLE TIME and it’s NEVER there, but they claim to have had it the day before (conspiracy? I think so…).

The cover of this one is great– I adore purple–, and I’m definitely having it sent to America via amazon or something as SOON as it comes out anywhere (have an earlier date for me, perhaps?) (=

  16. Ying says:

I love your ravingly maniacal enthusiasm, Jo! I’m so glad you’re enjoying Mary Quinn and you can order UK copies in North America. (The Book Depository does free shipping, too – hard to beat.)
